Friday's Quote of the Week

A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove. But the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.

This is one of my favorites.
I had a picture with this quote on it in my classroom when I was a teacher.

I love this quote! Just like your previous comment...I too had this quote in my classroom. LOVE IT! Now I can relate as a mom!

That's great. I said somthing very similar on my own blog yesterday in reference to homeschooling my children. I'd forgotten about this quote - or I'd have used it.

...Whether or not our children can read or write by age 4 or 5 or six will be irrelevant in thirty years. In 100 years, the reality of their presence in Heaven is all that will matter. [As for me and my house. . . ] We've decided that homeschool gives us better odds!
