Today I’m packing my bags in Texas, saying goodbye to my newest granddaughter, my son-in-love, and my daughter and heading back to Illinois.  It’s bittersweet. I’ve loved being here, but I need to head home.

Being gone for two weeks has been the longest I’ve ever been away from home. Last Friday I got a text from my 16-year-old that I’ll keep for forever! It said, “I can’t believe I’m saying this but I miss my mom!”   Gotta love that!

I’ve done three giveaways over the past three weeks and I need to announce the winners! Each of you will get an email from me with more info. Here we go:

Finding Balance That Works When Life Doesn’t Book
Julie Sancken

31 Days of Hope for Adoptive Moms Book
Amy Oxley

No More Perfect Moms Book Pre-readers (we said we would choose two, but so many of you entered the drawing, we decided to draw four!)

Melody Benscholter
Amy Stahl
Beth Jones
Susan (The Confident Mom)

Congrats to all of you!

Speaking of No More Perfect Moms….I got my manuscript back from the editor yesterday so I’ll be working on edits on my flights home today and on my layover in the Dallas airport!  I’m so excited about this book because I believe it is a message every mom needs.

Here’s your No More Perfect Moms quote for you to think about today. I pulled this straight off the pages of the manuscript:

“There are no perfect moms—just imperfect women who will fall off the pedestal of their own expectations more often than they care to admit.”

Have a perfectly imperfect Tuesday!
