I have good news!

My husband is home!

So many of you have been lifting us up in prayer since my post in early February.  I am humbled at the people God has raised up to pray for us for the past 4 months.  If you have been among them, I want to thank you.  Your encouragement, support, and prayers have meant the world to me.

There is still a season of healing ahead to us, but we are in a good place. For that, I am very grateful.  I know that God will use this difficult season for His purposes.

Will you join me in thanking God today for the healing work He has done and will continue to do?

  1. I praise God with you, Jill!!! I know that He will use this all for His glory — He doesn’t waste any tears or pain.

  2. As I was on my run this morning, I thanked God that Mark is back home with you. This week, a friend came to my door to tell me she was divorced. It was over. She’d moved on to another relationship. I felt defeated again. How do we encourage people that working on marriage is worth it? Your news gave my heart hope once again. All it takes from us is a little step in the direction of God and God wants to do amazing things for us. I will continue to pray for you and Mark and your family. It is encouraging to know that even when all hope seems lost, God remains our source of hope. I am so grateful that you and Mark are willing to work through this. God does heal and does work miracles! Thank you for sharing this news with us. Thank God!

    • Tristi,

I know it is discouraging when people give up so easily. We have to keep our eyes on the Mountain Mover…not on the mountains! I think that makes a big difference!

  3. Praising God with you and for you both for continuing to work on your marriage and showing it can be done with God’s help and strength…I am thrilled!!! Praying for continued strength and healing…

  4. That is wonderful news, Jill. I know you will both continue to heal and build a stronger marriage. Nothing is impossible with God.

  5. Praising and thanking God with you and Mark. Will continue to pray. Thank you for allowing so many to join you in your journey of faith. God Bless!

  7. Oh Jill! I was hoping this was the topic when I read your post title. I will continue to pray for you, Mark, & your family.

  8. Beyond joy to hear this!! The lord has used this beyond ways that the human mind can understand! Thank you for your humility for that may you be greatly blessed! Continue to pray for you all for the complete restoration! God is good & faithful!

  9. Praising God today for this news! Lately, I have learned of so many marriages around me that are falling apart and affairs are happening… This was VERY ENCOURAGING TO HEAR today! You are a blessing Jill! Your faithfulness is such a witness!

  10. I found your posting on just the right day. My husband and I are going through a really difficult season right now and the devil would love nothing more than to destroy us. We are in public positions in our church so it is hard to be honest about what is going on. It blessed me to see someone else having the courage to be open about their struggles, especially when they are also in the public eye. Thank you.

    • Kelli,

I’ve found that people respect honesty. Sure, there are still things about this that we are being private about, but I have found that our honesty helps other people be honest. Hang in there, get the help you need, it is worth it!

  11. Praise God! Truly a blessing to you and testimony of the Lord’s great love and impact on our lives! I see and feel your heart smiling from miles away.

  12. PRAISE GOD!!!! That is such wonderful news! Praying for healing and growth in your family.

  13. Jill,

  14. Jill – Such wonderful news to hear. Praise God! I wish nothing but healing and happiness for you and your family. May you and Mark find peace and love in each other. Many blessings and you will continue to be in my prayers.

  15. Praise the Lord! So thankful for His Holy Spirit at work in our lives, when we don’t have the words to pray… He intercedes for us… He convicts us… He brings God’s Wisdom to our minds, and Jesus love for us and His sacrifice & shed blood for sinners like us, His forgiveness, grace & mercy… What a Mighty God we serve! Reminds me of the Compassion Hymn by Keith & Kristyn Getty and Stuart Townend …

  16. Thank you Jesus for holding so tightly to the Savage family. Thank you for healing that has begun. Keep all their eyes focused on your grace and mercy as the healing you bring draws them closer to you and each other. Thank you, thank you for the gift of marriage. Cover Mark and Jill in your love, Jesus!

  17. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Joyous news! Thank you for sharing that God has answered all our prayers. Will continue to lift you both up.

  18. Praise God… and I praise Him for the strength he will give as you both journey forward together living in His grace. The saints at Epiphany here in Houston who were so moved by your seminar last November have been keeping in our payers.

  19. With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Mathew 19:26

Thank you for sharing this part also of your life with us. It must have been very difficult. But, can you imagine how many more couples may be inspired by your courage and faith.

  20. I’m overjoyed that God is getting all the credit and glory for this restoration and has defeated the enemy. I imagine you and Mark have put in a LOT of hard work and I encourage you to keep pressing on. Our marriages are the picture of Christ to the world – keep shining and showing the world there IS hope. I continue to pray for you all.
