It’s a Giveaway!

I love meeting women who take their talents and share them with others.  I know a mom who is a whiz at organizing…she created a business around it and now brings in some extra income for her family.  She also readily gives it away when God leads.

Some of the exhibitors at Hearts at Home conferences do just that.  They are “mom-created” businesses that provide beautiful gifts or resources for the home and family.  One of my favorites is Life Verse.

Life Verse Design combines scripture or inspirational quotes with photo art.  Julie has beautiful standard designs or she can customize something just for you!

With Mother’s Day around the corner,Life Verse is offering a generous giveaway to my blog readers!

She’s giving away 2 8X10 standard prints to 3 different winners: one for you and one for you to give to your mom or a friend for Mother’s Day! (for the giveaway, she can only ship to U.S. addresses.)

And she’s offering free shipping for any orders placed through May 4! (Use coupon code “SHIP2ME” at checkout.)

Want to enter? Simply leave a comment sharing your favorite Bible verse or inspirational quote.  (If you’re reading this post in email, click HERE to go to my blog and leave a comment.)  Entries can be made until 11:59pm CST on Thursday, April 26.  I will announce the winners on Friday, April 27.

  53. Logan says:

    Psalms 18:19
    He rescued me, because He delighted in me.

    I also LOVE this quote by C.S. Lewis because it reminds me that real Love, Christ’s love, loves through the hard times and loves in the midst of unlovable-ness. We’re called to receive this love as well as extend this love —

    “To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it careful round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket-safe, dark, motionless, airless-it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable…” C.S. Lewis

  143. Barb says:

    I laughed when I read your post today as I was just thinking about how my favorite verse has been changing lately. We have four children 6 and under and they have enjoyed watching videos that put Bible verses to music. I find myself singing different ones throughout the week, sometimes at their prompting and, I truly believe, sometimes at the Spirit’s prompting. The one we have been singing this week is “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” It has been a teaching tool for our whole family – as my husband works with a co-worker who has a tendency to put others down, as we drive in the van and have another driver do something that puts our family at risk, and as our children have their little fights (one just pulled another’s hair as I am typing:). We don’t have to talk much about the situation, we just sing the verse and share what we might do to show God’s love.

    1 Peter 3:1-4
    English Standard Version (ESV)
    Wives and Husbands

    3 Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, 2 when they see your respectful and pure conduct. 3  Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— 4 but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.

He will rest in SILENT satisfaction and in His love He will be SILENT and make no mention of past sins or even recall them; He will exalt over me with singing.

    In this He spoke to my heart that His ways truly are higher than mine. He sees the full picture of my life and His plan for my life and because He is in control he “rests in silent satisfaction over me.”

  153. Tonya says:

    10 For You have tried us, O God;
    You have refined us as silver is refined.
    11 You brought us into the net;
    You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins.
