There was no post yesterday because Nana was on duty with Marie unexpectedly for four days. When I arrived home Thursday night from speaking in Monticello, Erica communicated that she really wanted to make a spontaneous trip to Texas. It was killing her that her hubby was still in Texas and she was in Illinois (He leaves for Afghanistan within the next few days).

“Mom, I’d like to surprise Kendall and fly to Texas in the morning. (The time was midnight and the flight left at 6am!) Would you be willing to keep Marie for me?”  Well that’s wasn’t on my radar screen at all…but we made it work. On Friday, Marie, Mark, and I went to Parent-Teacher Conferences at the high school. Then Marie and I spent Saturday and Sunday in Zion with Anne and the other two grandkids  while Anne’s hubby was away on a retreat. It was a full, but enjoyable weekend.  Erica returned home about 6 last night with no regrets for spending the time and money on her marriage. Honestly, I was proud of her.

Today we begin four days of filming for the No More Perfect Moms video curriculum. This is a first for me and for Hearts at Home!  I’ll post behind-the-scenes pictures throughout the week.  I’m soooo excited about this great resource that will assist you in studying the No More Perfect Moms book in a small group in your home or church or moms group!  Will you pray for a sharp mind for me and for all the details to go smoothly?
