Quick Tip for Kitchen Counter paper organization

Need an easy way to keep kitchen counter papers disguised?  Try a picnic basket on the counter.

Mark found this picnic basket in the trash at a friend’s house.  It had been damaged by water in their basement.  After we cleaned it up, I decided to try it as an organizer for the papers that often sit on my kitchen counter.

I love it!  It’s worked so well and it keeps my counter looking uncluttered!

What about you? How have you tamed the kitchen counter clutter?

Really cute and useful idea!! I am one of those people that like my counters empty. We have a desk in our kitchen that has our computer on it and I use it for all the organizing. There are seven drawers and each drawer is used for something specific, such as Mom’s purse, coupon box, computer and electronics, school papers and church bible study papers, paper and pens, and bills/paper stuff. We have a separate dining room that we always eat in so the space in the kitchen for a table is perfect for the desk.

Thank you so much for posting this! This is an area I have been trying over and over to get a system for. I am excited to try this!

This is a great idea. It’s also nice because it’s portable and can be taken off the counter easily if you need the space or are having a party.

I think this is a great idea! Especially if there aren’t a lot of drawers. I use drawers to keep papers, phone books, notes, etc contained, since we added some more drawers to the kitchen recently.
Thanks for all the helpful hints this week.
