Third Thursday Blog Hop: No More Perfect Holidays

HAH-Blog-Hop-graphic (3)Well in light of my post yesterday, I think that embracing “what is” instead of looking for “what isn’t” will most definitely define the holidays for me.  Because I’ll likely be recovering from surgery the week before Christmas, I’m preparing my heart now to adjust my expectations to better match reality.

There are so many ways that we can look at the upcoming holidays and deal with our perfectionistic expectations: decorations, gifts, food, baking, and more!

In each of those areas, we’re better off if we have REALISTIC expectations of ourselves, our spouse, and our kids.

Thanksgiving is next week.  Are you adjusting your expectations?
